APRIL 12 – 15 RIDE
Hello members I am organising a ride from Monday 12th to Thursday 15th April, 2021. We can call this THE HIGH COUNTRY RIDE with the weather usually mild and fairly stable at this time of the year. All roads are tar sealed other than roadwork which I am not privy to.
All accommodation is reasonably priced and I have either stayed there or it has been well recommended as with morning tea and lunch stops. Some great roads and brilliant scenery with the school term resuming from the Monday that we leave meaning lighter general traffic flow.
The basic route is:-
Monday 12.04.21:- HEATHCOTE to CROOKWELL via Macquarie Pass,
Goulburn, Taralga, Rockley, and Trunkey Creek. 493km
Tuesday 13.04.21:- CROOKWELL to KHANCOBAN via Boorowa, Jugiong,
Tumut, Tumbarumba and Cabramurra. 438km
Wednesday 14.04.21:- KHANCOBAN to QUEANBEYAN via Thredbo,
Jindabyne, Dalgety, Bombala, Wyndham, Candelo, Bemboka, Nimmitabel and
Cooma. 500km
Thursday 15.04.21:- QUEANBEYAN to HEATHCOTE via Bungendore,
Tarago, Nerriga, Nowra, Princes Highway and Motorway. 304km
