Thought I’d give the boys a thrill – well, the eight that turned up and take them on some new roads. Might add, we had a new member, welcome Graham on a Yamaha FJR – poor TT was visibly overcome and nearly wet himself, but that’s another tale.
It was a toss-up between Samuel Gee Pies at Balaclava (near Mittagong, for those not too sure of their geography) or the Berrima General Store & Café (not a bad Bakery, or whatever) – obviously the pie shop won out. So, off we set down the OPH, turned off to Appin then onto – I won’t name the roads, you can figure them out – Douglas Park, Picton, Thirlmere, Buxton to Colo Vale. Here it got a little tricky as I threw in some back roads to Willow Vale and onto Balaclava.
As usual, we had a very informative break at Samuel Gee’s with some very intense imaginative dialogues. Hopefully all enjoyed themselves viz. Keith (Gorilla), Rob (Tunnels), Col (Colonel), Andrew (Spud), Tim, Shane, Graham and our sweep John (TT) – who clearly did a sterling task as we didn’t misplace a solitary soul throughout the whole trek. I know I had an immensely enjoyable ride – thanks to all!!!!!
