    • Quite a number of causeways to cross, but none deep enough to cause any concerns
    • A few snakes were trying to warm themselves up on the road as well
  5. Via North Head Drive (along Moruya River) and some more backroads to Batemans Bay Arrived at the Motel before the main group

Sunday:

  1. 25th May 2025: Dakar Route Batemans Bay
25th May 2025: Dakar Route Batemans Bay

Early breakfast at Se7en Café by the Sea (yes that’s how it’s spelled; “Se7en”) Left Batemans Bay southbound then via Runnyford Rd to Nelligen

    • Some furry traffic control (e.g. Roos) on Runnyford Rd
    • Great scenery, especially across the 120m long Runnyford timber bridge
  2. Blast up Kings Hwy with bugger all traffic (only caught up to 3 cars all the way, and always just before an overtaking lane – brilliant!)
  3. Tried a shortcut from Northangera to Nerriga, however the 2nd causeway had way too much fast flowing water and I’ve backtracked 5 km and headed via Braidwood
  4. Another great ride from Braidwood to Nowra. There’s only 5km of dirt left on the road to Nerriga, the rest is all sealed
  5. Timing was perfect and I caught up with the main group in Bomaderry.

Cheers, Dakar
