So … well, what happened?
A terrific day for a ride, well it wasn’t raining – for a change. I rocked up for my first ride in excess of 2 months, expecting a multitude of riders eager to partake with me in a slow but short ride. Somewhat disappointed as there was no one there when I arrived, however, Owen & Leslie, on their Triumph, pulled up – hallelujah!

After the usual in-depth discussion Owen volunteered to go sweep (TEC) which, I guess, promoted me to be ride leader. As I was only reasonably capable of a short slow ride, it was decided to have morning tea at the Gelato Emporium in the Southern Gateway Centre near the top of Bulli Pass.
So, off we headed there via the RNP, Otford, past the Indian Temple and onto the OPH. Actually, it was very nice at the venue, great views (could see my place) that is, what you could see through the dust courtesy of SA. The coffee and consumables were pretty good too. After much reminiscing I proceeded home via Bulli pass and ‘The Smits’ headed back via the Coast Road.

Thanks for your excellent and enjoyable company Leslie & Owen and it was such a pity that it was just the three of us – those that couldn’t make it missed out on a good (though short) ride.
