A surprisingly nice day after all the wild weather we just had, 6 of us left the Menai 7/11for a run out to The Oaks for morning tea. I had a call before we left, Shrek was at Heathcote with Bev, wondering where we all were, and then wondering why he didn’t check the ride calendar, again. We headed of picking up Shrek and Bev on Heathcote Rd.
We travelled out via Bringelly Rd, Greendale Rd and onto Silverdale Rd at the Wallacia Hotel, before a small detour into Warragamba Dam in the hope of getting a squiz at the dam over flowing, a view from the front of the dam would have been better, but not to be.
We moved on back onto Silverdale Rd and all enjoyed our morning tea at The Oaks, while we were there, Posty Jim rolled in and joined us.
For the run home, I led the group out to Oakdale, and then followed Barkers Lodge Rd back into Picton, where Posty, Shrek & Bev left us, before the Broughton Pass, Appin Rd run, saying our goodbyes at Heathcote, thanks to everyone that attended, making it another good ride.
