Seagull was today ride leader and with the morning greeted by rain & wet roads, it was good to see 10 riders who believed the weather report, because it was right, clearing rain, cloudy and a top of 16, it actually got warmer as we travelled west. Seagull led us out down the OPH and onto Appin Rd, where we all crawled along to the dam turn off, due to a HWY Patrol car we were all behind, finally we got going, just to catch up with a very slow truck as we came down into the 60 zone before Broughton Pass. Finally past the truck, we had a great run across to Douglas Park, Cowdor and finally, to our destination, The Oaks.

After the coffee and snacks, we continued out to Oakdale and did the round trip back along Barkers Lodge Rd to Picton, and took Picton Rd back to Wilton and then Appin Rd, we all ended up in smaller groups after Appin, with Seagull and Dane filling up at Appin and the temp getting cooler as we travelled east.

A big thanks to Seagull for leading today and TT for looking after the tail. With TT now riding the Honda NT, it’s ezy to see him at the back with those super bright duel headlights, bringing up the rear.
